Project Overall Objective

Contribute to the implementation of SDG Goal 10 (safe, orderly, responsible labour migration) and also the implementation of Global Compact on Migration (GCM) objectives: 5 (legal pathways), 6 (fair and ethical recruitment), 7 (address the vulnerability of migrants), 9 (end smuggling of migrants), 10 (prevent and combat trafficking), 15 (basic services for migrants), and 16 (empowering migrants) at national level

Specific Objective

Migrant workers, particularly marginalized men and women as well as families left behind including female spouses and children improved their well-being by safer migration practices, upholding rights, accessing opportunities and entitlements

Project Focus Area

  • Knowledge and agency of migrant workers, their families and communities on safe migration, anti-trafficking, forced labour etc increased
  • Leadership of the members of Migrant Forum (MF) enhanced and sustained
  • Access of Bangladeshi migrant workers-potential, returnees and families left behind to the support and services provided by the government institutes and non-government organization improved

Narayanganj (Araihazar-12 unions), Munshiganj (Munshiganj Sadar-9 unions) and Faridpur (Charbhadrasan-4 unions)
